The artist actively adopts the almost obsolete technique of urushimaki, and creates works while exploring the unique, deep, and delicate colors that can only be produced by this technique. The lacquer is loosened with turpentine oil and applied to the work. The unique colors and textures are obtained by baking the half-dried lacquer with powdered paint.
